SUMMARY

The Print Operations Specialist is responsible for executing and supporting a wide range of tasks within the print production workflow, including job setup, file handling, equipment operation, quality inspection, and coordination with internal teams. This role requires attention to detail, time management, and technical knowledge of print processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of print projects.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Print Production Support

  • Prepare, process, and route digital files for production using RIP software and job ticketing systems.
  • Operate digital print equipment (e.g., Xerox, Canon, Ricoh, HP Indigo) for high-quality output of print jobs.
  • Support print-on-demand, variable data, and static print campaigns based on client specifications.

Job Coordination

  • Review and interpret work orders/job tickets, ensuring all materials and files meet production requirements.
  • Communicate with prepress, finishing, fulfillment, and customer service teams to maintain workflow and schedules.
  • Track progress of jobs and flag any delays or issues to supervisors.

Quality Assurance

  • Conduct checks on print jobs for resolution, color accuracy, alignment, and finishing compliance.
  • Report errors or inconsistencies and work collaboratively to ensure quality standards are upheld.
  • Follow client-specific branding and formatting guidelines during production.

Equipment & Workflow

  • Perform basic troubleshooting and maintenance of digital print and finishing equipment (e.g., copiers, folders, cutters).
  • Assist in setup and calibration of print machines and monitor supplies (paper, toner, etc.).
  • Maintain a clean and organized production environment in accordance with safety policies.

 

Inventory & Fulfillment

  • Monitor inventory levels of stock and materials used for print production.
  • Support kitting, packaging, and labeling as part of print fulfillment projects when needed.
  • Log completed jobs and update systems to reflect order completion.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or technical training in graphic arts or print production is a plus.
  • 1–3 years of experience in a print or production environment preferred.
  • Proficient in using digital print equipment; familiarity with RIP and workflow software (e.g., Fiery, FreeFlow, or similar).
  • Knowledge of file formats (PDF, EPS, TIFF) and basic prepress/preflight concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Familiarity with print management systems (e.g., EFI, Avanti, PrintStream).
  • Basic experience with Adobe Creative Suite or other design tools.
  • Exposure to variable data printing (VDP) and mail fulfillment workflows.

Working Conditions:

The wage for this entry level position is based on experience and is reviewable after 90-days.

SUMMARY

Drives truck or automobile over established route to collect mail, mailing material, parcels and documents related to mailing and shipping by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Maintains working knowledge of established route time schedule.

Performs on-call service and special pick-ups, as appropriate.

Presents neat, clean, courteous and professional image to all customers while properly wearing Company-issued uniform.

Verifies that customer account number is clearly visible on all mail and parcel containers.

Provides route customers with a supply of all necessary shipping and mailing documentation.

Verifies customer provided placards are in each tray of mail.

Loads and unloads mail and parcels in safe and efficient manner.

Obeys all penal and traffic laws.

Properly loads and unloads vehicle in accordance with Company training.

Wears seat belt whenever vehicle is in motion.

Drives in a safe and courteous manner at all times.

Maintains clean and safe interior of assigned route vehicle.

Reports all damage and items in need of repair both in writing and verbally.

Directs mail and parcels to proper locations when returning to office.

Returns material, as appropriate, to customers as directed.

Performs delivery or assists in delivery of mail to Postal Service facility in accordance with State traffic and penal laws, and Postal Service Regulations.

Reports all traffic and penal law violations (both Company and private time) immediately.

Maintains working knowledge of all mail classification and preparation procedures.

Completes all daily, weekly and monthly forms and reports and provides completed reports.
