Job Description

SUMMARY

Provides support to internal and external customers as it relates to hardware and software.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

Be familiar with all equipment and technology used by the company, including office programs, printers, basic operations and functions of operational equipment.

Act as a primary source of contact for any reports of technology failures and malfunctions submitted by internal or external users.

Assist, troubleshoot and collect information about reported failures and properly document them. Document and address patterns of failure.

Address issues in a timely manner by resolving them or by assisting vendor technicians in troubleshooting, correcting and confirming the repair. Provide regular updates on the status of repair to the interested parties.

Perform required software and hardware updates, on local servers and in the cloud; as well as regular maintenance.

Assist in maintaining operational equipment

Coordinates with third party vendor on the maintenance of network and equipment so as to achieve operational efficiency.

Assist users with any technology related questions, including training on proper use of software and hardware; setting up accounts and recover passwords.

Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, manuals and end user guides.

Run security checks and audits on systems.

Assist and coordinate with technology changes within the company.

Evaluate new software and hardware to ensure it is compatible with current system, document any required changes.

Perform installation of any vendor non-supported software and hardware, verify the functionality and train the users

Provide recommendations on possible improvements and streamlining of equipment to address system capability

Maintain inventory technology inventory of the company.

Maintain equipment inventory record, including accessories, cables and dongles.

Maintain software inventory records.

Perform testing on components as needed to ensure their functionality.

Prepare equipment replacement requests for damaged or out of stock components.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

The Utility position assist in the daily administration of the Company vehicle fleet and leased vehicles, as well as, Drives truck or automobile over established route to collect mail, mailing material, parcels and documents related to mailing and shipping by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Confers and cooperates in the development of mail service routes to meet the stated goals and objectives of the Company, while maintaining route driver personnel safety.

Provides regular vehicle reports detailing vehicle mileage, condition, operational status, maintenance and repair costs and operational capacity.

Provides completed daily, weekly and monthly forms.

Adheres a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all Company owned and leased vehicles.

Assists in the training of all route drivers, as to Company driver policies, route procedures, mail/parcel collection procedures and safety procedures.

Provides regular reports detailing the efforts of route drivers in meeting the stated goals and objective of the Company, suggestions for route improvement, vehicle condition, and suggestions for route improvement.

Coordinates to ensure appropriate route coverage during route driver vacation, holidays and sick days.

Provides  regular reports regarding route driver adherence to safety rules, route driver performance Company polices, and safe driving techniques, through the use written reports and “ride-a-longs”.

Maintains a working knowledge of all mail service routes, and inter-office routes.

Acts as back-up route driver in the event a route driver and or Utility Driver is unable to fulfill route service obligations.

Maintains materials and supplies required for use in vehicle operation, maintenance and/or route driver personnel safety.

Assists Company Administration in dealing with all vehicle related vendors.

Performs documented inspection of vehicles no less than monthly to ensure vehicles are clean in appearance and road-worthy.

The wage for this entry level position is based on experience and is reviewable after 90-days.

All full-time positions include a full benefits package including discounted health care insurance, life insurance, and 401(k) Profit Sharing once eligibility requirements for such programs are satisfied.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated; detail oriented, and demonstrate a solid work history related to customer service and sales support. Strong written and oral communication skills are required for this position. Ability to use a computer with strong computer functionality, including the use of Microsoft Office programs, internet browsers, file saving, and file retrieval is a requirement for this position. Applicant must be able to become proficient with industry-specific software and applications following training.

SUMMARY Prepares mailings and shipments for further processing and/or delivery to carrier, operates postage metering equipment and sorting equipment to ensure optimum performance and operational efficiency by performing the following duties personally or with the assistance of other personnel.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assembles boxes, tubes or other container to service a mailing or shipping receptacle.

Manually folds, inserts, and separate pieces by vendor specification, all pieces that are non-machine able.

Separates pieces by weight and service classification (as determined by vendor) for postage metering. Separates and maintains pieces by account number.

Maintains daily job processing log.

Collates, assembles and applies address labels for all classifications of mailing shipping jobs.

Initializes machine, ink jet units and ancillary equipment, as appropriate, in accordance with vendor and Company training.

Separates mail by client name and/or account number to ensure proper client billing and job tracking, as appropriate.

Ensures accuracy in work and documentation. Reviews instructions/directions thoroughly before processing jobs.

Removes mail from bins, during machine operation, and places mail in appropriate, identified, containers to ensure proper handling by other employees or by Postal Service. Participates fully in subsequent pass sortation to ensure proper handling of mail and adherence to Postal Service deadlines.

Completes Postal Service documentation ( electronic and hard copy ), as appropriate. Loads and unloads Postal Service carriers in a safe and efficient manner.

Loads and unloads Company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.

Pushes button or depresses pedal to activate machine.

Observes machine operation to detect media defects or machine malfunction and takes corrective action, as appropriate.

Reviews media output to determine accuracy and efficiency of machine operation and takes corrective action, as appropriate.

Adheres to Company and vendor training regarding proper equipment operation and adherence to safety policies and procedures.

Completes internal documentation to reflect operation time, unit cost or other scale of measurement, as appropriate.

Maintains job log for each machine operated, as appropriate. Reports all production and equipment problems to Operations Manager or Vice President of Operations for resolution. Assists vendor service representative in the repair of equipment through proper documentation and verbal communication.

Performs daily, minor machine maintenance such as cleaning, ink jet priming. Maintains a clean and safe work area around equipment. Performs delivery or assists in delivery of mail to Postal Service facility in accordance with State traffic and penal laws, and Postal Service Regulations. Wears seat belt whenever operating or riding as passenger in Company delivery vehicles.

Maintains a clean and safe work area. Breaks down and places in appropriate area, all empty containers provided by the customer.
