The Utility position assist in the daily administration of the Company vehicle fleet and leased vehicles, as well as, Drives truck or automobile over established route to collect mail, mailing material, parcels and documents related to mailing and shipping by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Confers and cooperates with Vice President and Operations Manager in the development of mail service routes to meet the stated goals and objectives of the Company, while maintaining route driver personnel safety.

Provides Vice President and Operations Manager with regular vehicle reports detailing vehicle mileage, condition, operational status, maintenance and repair costs and operational capacity.

Provides Vice President and Operations Manager with completed daily, weekly and monthly forms.

Adheres a comprehensive maintenance schedule for all Company owned and leased vehicles provided by Vice President and Operations Manager.

Assists in the training of all route drivers, as to Company driver policies, route procedures, mail/parcel collection procedures and safety procedures.

Provides Vice President and Operations Manager with regular reports detailing the efforts of route drivers in meeting the stated goals and objective of the Company, suggestions for route improvement, vehicle condition, and suggestions for route improvement.

Coordinates with Vice President and Operations Manager to ensure appropriate route coverage during route driver vacation, holidays and sick days.

Provides Vice President and Operations Manager with regular reports regarding route driver adherence to safety rules, route driver performance Company polices, and safe driving techniques, through the use written reports and “ride-a-longs”.

Maintains a working knowledge of all mail service routes, and inter-office routes.

Acts as back-up route driver in the event a route driver and or Utility Driver is unable to fulfill route service obligations.

Maintains materials and supplies required for use in vehicle operation, maintenance and/or route driver personnel safety.

Assists Company Administration in dealing with all vehicle related vendors.

Performs documented inspection of vehicles no less than monthly to ensure vehicles are clean in appearance and road-worthy.

The wage for this entry level position is based on experience and is reviewable after 90-days.

All full-time positions include a full benefits package including discounted health care insurance, life insurance, and 401(k) Profit Sharing once eligibility requirements for such programs are satisfied.

The successful candidate will be self-motivated; detail oriented, and demonstrate a solid work history related to customer service and sales support. Strong written and oral communication skills are required for this position.
